RE: Changes at LFC Shield

The past year has been a highly successful period for our wholly owned commercial underwriting agency - LFC Shield.  A combination of the full deployment of our fast and competitive quote engine, allied to the personal quality of our underwriting approach, has enabled us to grow this business and return good results to our insurer partners.  We are determined to build on this success in 2012 and beyond.

Simon Clayton (a main Board Director at LFC) has led the LFC Shield team since 2009 and will be leaving us at the end of this year to return to East Africa, where he will be the CEO of Kenya's largest general insurance company.  We wish him well in that challenging environment.    I am pleased to announce that we have secured the services of Jackie Burns as Simon's replacement (in the new year.)  She comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the SME underwriting sector, having spent the last 8 years as General Manager of a substantial commercial underwriting agency.  Her commencement date will be announced as soon as possible, but in the meantime, for day to day underwriting matters, please contact the current underwriters.  I will be supporting them in a managerial/overseeing capacity for the time being and will split my time between Trinity House and LFC House.
